Criminal Prosecution

The County Attorney Traffic Safety Program may allow your traffic citation to be dismissed upon successful completion of the program. The cost of the program is $172.50 and payment can be made online. The program content can be viewed over the internet and you can complete the program in the comfort of your own home. Upon successful completion of the program, the violation will be dismissed and no points will be assessed against your operator’s license. IF you pass, your citation will be dismissed and you will not need to appear in court or pay your ticket. If you fail or do not complete it will not be dismissed from your driving record.

How do I complete CATS?

To complete the CATS Program, a participant must register, pay the fee, and complete a one-hour online course. After completing the course, the County Attorney’s office will file a motion to ask the court to dismiss the citation.

Didn't Complete on time?

If your court date has not passed, you can request an extension through the CATS program. We will review the extension request and grant it if appropriate.

If your court date has passed, and you have not completed the course you will need to attend court on your next court date.
